The Los Angeles Lakers injury list has been lengthy this season, with several recurring mentions. LeBron James, Anthony Davis, and Gabe Vincent have been regulars, while Cam Reddish and Jarred Vanderbilt have also appeared frequently.

One of the major discussion topics leading up to the Lakers’ Valentine’s Day game against the Utah Jazz is the availability of role players Max Christie and Cam Reddish.

Christie suffered an ankle strain in Thursday’s 114-106 loss to the Denver Nuggets. Meanwhile, Reddish has been out since the team’s 127-116 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on January 23rd with the same injury as Christie.

With Jarred Vanderbilt (midfoot) sidelined for several weeks, the Lakers need at least one of these two defensive threats to return to the lineup. Both players are expected to return during the NBA All-Star break, however.

LeBron James announced his departure, which appeared to be a deliberate tactic for the four-time MVP as the Lakers play the second night of a back-to-back. On Sunday, LeBron James will play in his 20th NBA All- HuStar Game.
