Milwaukee Bucks news: After being forced to sit out on Monday against the Los Angeles Clippers due to an Achilles injury, Giannis Antetokounmpo was able to return to action on Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors. The two-time NBA MVP entered the contest with a questionable tag but was ultimately able to play through the injury.

The Bucks are back in action on Friday to face off against LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers, and the team has now announced Antetokounmpo’s status for that highly anticipated showdown.

The good news for Milwaukee fans is that according to the official injury report, Giannis is considered probable to play. It’s still the tendinitis in his left Achilles that is bothering the eight-time All-Star, but he seemed fine on Wednesday against the Warriors.

Antetokounmpo logged 33 minutes of action last night, finishing with 23 points, seven rebounds, six assists, and a block. It didn’t matter much, though, with the Bucks suffering a 125-90 blowout loss against Stephen Curry and Co. — a brutal loss that snapped their previous six-game winning streak.

At this point, it would probably be safe to say that Giannis will play on Friday against the Lakers, barring any unforeseen setbacks.

It is worth noting, though, that LeBron has been listed as questionable due to an ankle problem. James played through the same injury on Wednesday in a loss to the Sacramento Kings but was forced to exit the game in the fourth quarter because his ankle was bothering him. His status for Friday’s contest remains up in the air.
