Eddie Howe reveals Newcastle “internal” meeting as sack rumours gather speed after Luton defeat

Newcastle United suffered a another setback at Kenilworth Road as Luton Town prevailed 1-0. With this setback, the Magpies have now only won once in their previous six games.

Andros Townsend of Luton scored the game’s lone goal at the back post following a corner kick from Ross Barkley that was flicked on by Alfie Doughty during the first half. Although Newcastle put more pressure on the opposition in an attempt to tie the score, Rob Edwards’ squad was the closest to extending their lead.
